End the year with a hike.

Meet at the parking lot on Rt. 309 at the top of Blue Mountain. We will walk 4 miles to the Shelter, where we will pause for a snack before heading back to our cars. Anyone who wants a shorter 4 mile hike can join the group at the Jacksonville-Snyders Rd. Bring a snack and water.

This meeting will be held at St. Timothy's Luthern Church, 140 South Ott Street, Allentown, Pa. There will be a business meeting followed by refreshments followed by a slide presentation of the HIGH SOUTH WEST by Bob Ensminger.

Hike in Lehigh Gorge between Rockport and Glen Onoko.

Please wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather - we will be outside all day. Bring lunch and water. Trail and driving conditions will be considered. If weather is severe we will attempt to hike a local trail. Meeting place is at Eckerd Drug Store in Walnutport. Contact Hike Leaders for time.

We'll stretch our legs in the midst of winter's cold on the 5-mile Ironton Rail Trail.

After that we can wander through the cement industry site of the Whitehall Parkway for awhile. Bring lunch and water; wear sturdy shoes. Rain or blizzard cancel. Meet at the Chestnut St. parking lot, Whitehall. Call leader for further information.

Hike through the network of trails at the Pool Wildlife Santuary in Emmaus.

This 72-acre tract is home to the offices of the Wildlands Conservancy. We'll try to cover a portion of every trail, including the new Urban Forest Trail. Bring a snack and maybe a warm drink, as there will be several places to stop. Meet at the auto store in South Mall along Lehigh Street just south of Allentown. NO PETS!
