Hike Section D from Arrowhead Marina to the southern terminus of the trail at Lock 12.

This very scenic section is a strenous hike, climbing and descending the river hills along the Susquehanna River. Features include Wind Cave (the largest tectonic cave in the eastern US), House Rock Run, House Run Vista, Brukaber Run, Reeds Run, Pinnacle Vista, and Kelly's Run. Due to construction at the Holtwood Power Plant, there is a detour from the Holtwood Recreation Area to the Norman Woods Bridge. End at Lock 12 of the Susquehanna and Tidewater Canal.

Climb the Kittatiny to the AT and back

Drive 5 miles to Baily Wood Products for a quick tour. Then we will climb the Kittatiny starting at Betsy Nehf’s farm to the AT and back. This is on private property folks! So Club members only! 3 hr steep climb and back; total of 3 hrs. Hiking boots a must! No dogs or cats! Bring money for lunch and beer after at Kempton Hotel. (where you guessed is another piano!)

Spring Overnight Backpacking to Allentown Shelter or Day Hike (your choice).

Enjoy this 4 mile hike in on the Appalachian Trail from PA 309 to the Allentown Shelter. Bring appropriate backpacking equipment and supplies to camp out for the night then hike 4 miles back to the parking area the next day. You may also choose to make it an 8 mile dayhike. Hike will not be cancelled due to any weather conditions. Rain or shine. Open to all. We should be returning to the parking area around 10:30AM on Sunday Morning.
