Hike from Osprey House on a loop hike finishing at Translator Lane.

We will hike a series of familiar trails on Lehigh Gap Nature Center property. Then the blue trail of the AT and down Translator lane. At the towers we will wait for dark and attempt to listen for the call of a Whip-Poor-Will. We will be hiking in the dark so a flashlight is essential. Please bring water and wear sturdy shoes. A hiking stick is recommended as the area we will be hiking is steep and rocky.

Get a "behind the scenes" glimpse of the newly revamped Trexler Game Preserve with Tom Gettings who gave our after-meeting presentation.

Thunder Swamp Day Hike (west of Rte. 402).

The trail is a part of the PA State Forest Trails Award Series which the leader is striving to complete (800 miles in PA's state forests). See DCNR website for more information on getting the award. Wear sturdy boots or trail hiking shoes. Bring lunch and at least 3 liters of water. No dogs. Heavy rain cancels.
