6	7	8	9	10	11 6-11-21 9:30 am \| Hike Kittatinny Arboretum Loop Hike Easy 2.5 mile loop hike with some change in elevation. This is an easy loop hike with some elevation change and rocky sections. We will meet at the parking lot of the Kittatinny Arboretum. We will walk through the Arboretum up to the LNE trail. Take the LNE trail to the Prairie Grass trail. This is where the change in elevation takes place. There will be some nice views from this trail. From there we will proceed to the Chestnut Oak trail and then to the Double GG trail and return to the LNE trail. Wear sturdy shoes, you may want to consider hiking poles and bring water. Finding the Arboretum parking lot can be tricky, call if you need directions or have any questions. There are some wet areas and plenty of rocks, so please wear sturdy boots and bring at least 2 liters of water, lunch and snacks. No pets. No politics. Rain cancels. We will be partnering with multiple organizations, including the Pennsylvania Game Commission and the Blue Mountain Eagle Climbing Club, to scrub graffiti from Bake Oven Knob. Other partners will include the Haycock Bouldering Coalition and the Flametamers Wildland Fire Crew. The Pennsylvania Game Commission is in the process of purchasing necessary cleanup supplies: 30 gallons of elephant snot, brushes, buckets, backpack sprayers, contractor storage locker, trash bags, etc. All will be in place by June 26th. The main parking lot will be closed off on the morning of the clean-up, with parking access restricted to volunteers only.
