Seven Tubs Natural Area Hike/SwimHike/swim, check out chutes, drops and pools of the Seven Tubs Natural Area.
We'll warm up with a short hike, then descent into the cool microclimate of Wheelbarrow Run. Another trail will lead to a streamside lunch stop, then it's off to a sunny swimming hole before returning to our cars. Wear a swimsuit or something you don't mind getting wet. Bring lunch, liquids, sunscreen and a change of clothes.

Lehigh Parkway HikeHike along the Little Lehigh Creek in an Allentown city park.
We will enjoy the beauty of one of Allentown's parks, starting near the Fish Hatchery and following the trail along the south side of the creek, and passing Bogert's Covered Bridge. At the North Bridge, we will cross the creek and return along the north side to our cars. Bring water and a snack. Heavy rain cancels.

We will head west from Sand Island, pass under the Hill to Hill Bridge, see Lock 41, and end our trek at Lock 40, where we will turn around and head back east to our cars. Bring water and a snack. Heavy rain cancels.

TubingFloat the Lehigh River for 4 miles from Treichler's Bridge to the dam in Northampton for a cool passage through the rural country.
Bring sun protection, a wide-brimmed hat and an inflated TRUCK inner tube. Trucks and vans will be appreciated to help haul tubes and drivers back to the starting point. NO PETS!

Yellow Spring Side Trail Work TripThe ATC Mid Atlantic Trail Crew will be adding switchbacks and improving the Yellow Spring Trail.
Last year the Mid Atlantic Crew worked two weeks, beginning the relocation of this very rocky, steep, eroded trail. They will finish the work this year. The crew (6 volunteers and a crew leader) will move tools into the site on Thursday afternoon, work 8AM to 4 PM Friday thru Sunday and Monday morning. Club volunteers are invited to work with the crew (one, two, or more days); sturdy boots and long pants are required. You must preregister with Bob Sickley at the Mid Atlantic Office.
