A short hike up and down a scenic gorge will give us plenty of time for the main event; a relaxing soak in a "cool" pool.

Be prepared to experience a full-body ice cream headache! There are also sunny rocks to bask on later. Wear a swimsuit or something you don't mind getting wet. Bring lunch, liquids, sunscreen and a change of clothes. NO PETS!

Section 6 - Old Lancaster Pike near Adamstown to Furnace Hill Road

We will ascend Adamstown Ridge to the county line and begin our Lancaster County journey. Rural road walking and footpaths. About 2 miles into the hike, we will pass the "halfway point" sign for the Horse-Shoe Trail.

Ride to Penn Haven and climb inclined plane to lunch overlooking Lehigh Gorge and Black Creek

Ride from Glen Onoko to Penn Haven (5.5 miles), lock bikes and climb inclined plane to eat lunch at my favorite view of the gorge.Upon return to Glen Onoko there are optional short side trips to Lock #2 and RR turntable. Needed for this trip-- lunch, water and bike lock, also recommended are bike helmet, binoculars and camera.

Hike several trails in Hickory Run State Park.

The hike will include parts of Fourth Run, Fire Line, Skyline and Hickory Run Trails. Please bring lunch and water. No pets.

A nice variety of the developed park, a dam, woods,and the bird sanctuary.

We will hike the AT from Ft Franklin Rd to Hawk Mountain Rd.

Bring lunch, water and footwear for climbing over northeast PA rocks. We will car pool and shuttle, no dogs please. We will pass side trails to Tri-County marker, Balanced rock and Dan's Pulpit, optional stops if time and weather permit. Our AHC shelter is also on this hike.
