Hike on Prairie Warbler Trail, Woodpecker Trail, AT, North Trail. Then cross over onto LGNC property and down Charcoal Trail, Prairie Grass Trail and back to Osprey House on LNE Trail. Bring water and snacks.

Susquehanna Super Hike & Ultra Trail RunSponsored by the Keystone Trails Association, the 28.4-mile hike will take place in York & Lancaster Counties. Contact KTA (www.kta-hike.org) for details and registration form.
Volunteers are still needed to direct parking, help with event timing, assist with set-up and clean-up, and more. Please contact Becky at 717-238-7017 or ktaadmin@verizon.net for more information or to sign-up to volunteer. Volunteers will receive a Super Hike t-shirt and be invited to attend the post-event picnic.
Registration is limited to 400 participants. The registration fee is $60 for participants registering on or before August 21. After August 21, the registration fee is $75; on-site registration is $90. Online registration will close at 11:59 PM on Friday, September 3. All mailed registrations forms must be postmarked by September 3. Payment on-site the day of the event is by cash, check or money order only.

Bike Lehigh Gorge / Hike Penn Haven PlaneExperience Lehigh Gorge from the bottom and the top.
From Glen Onoko, we will bike about six miles on the Lehigh Gorge Trail (not paved) to the Penn Haven Plane. There we will lock the bikes and climb up the inclined plane to the rim of the gorge, where we will eat lunch while enjoying a great vista. After lunch we will retrace our route. After our return, there will be an optional short side trip to Lock 2, which the Allentown Hiking Club maintains. Bring lunch, water, bike lock, helmet, sturdy shoes to climb the plane.

KTA Trail Care Weekend on the Loyalsock TrailCamp at Worlds End State Park. Trail Care Weekends begin Friday evening at the designated campsite.
A full day of trail work on Saturday is followed by an evening of campfire sociability and possibly a meal out at a local restaurant (Dutch Treat). After a morning of additional trail work, the weekend concludes about noon on Sunday. If you can't spare an entire weekend, you can join the group for whatever portion is convenient. No experience or special skills are required. Tools and work gloves will be provided. Check KTA website (www.kta-hike.org)for details, and contact the trip leader, Jim Yannaccone, to register for Trail Care Weekends.

KTA Hosts Fall Hiking Weekends in Mifflin CountyThe Keystone Trails Association will host its Fall Meeting & Hiking Weekend from Friday, October 1 to Sunday, October 3 in Milroy, Mifflin County.
Some of Pennsylvania's most challenging and rewarding hikes are found in this area, where hikers are treated to a weath of stunning vistas, rugged climbs and rocky ridge tops. Milroy is located in close proximity to two of the state's premier long-distance hiking trails: the Mid State Trail and the Standing stone Trail. Hikers will be able to enjoy day hikes on these trails as well as other hikes located in the nearby state forests and state parks.
After a day on the trails, hikers will enjoy a comfortable stay at Best Western Nittany Inn Milroy. Meals will be served at the Hartman Center, located approximately one mile from the hotel on Old US 322.
