Starting at Cove Rd D&L trailhead we will bike 7.5 miles north to Lehigh Gap Nature Center. There we will Hike 8 miles with a elevation gain of 1300' on various trails with great views of the Leigh River ! Once back to the Osprey House we will bike back 7.5 miles to the D&L trailhead. Bring a trail or Hybrid bike in good working order. Spare tire tube. Helmet. Minimun 2 liters water snacks sunscreen insect repellent Cable lock for your bike good hiking shoes. Hike the Monocacy Trail and enjoy a Bach at Noon concert.

Meet at Illick's Mill to walk the Monocacy Trail, which largely parallels the Monocacy Creek and is located entirely within the city of Bethlehem. We will arrive at the Central Moravian Church in time for the Bach at Noon concert. The concert is free, but donations are appreciated. After the concert we will eat lunch at a picnic table beside the creek, and then walk back to our cars. Bring lunch and water. Steady rain on the morning of the event cancels the hike, but we will meet on the balcony of the church to enjoy the concert. No phone calls the day of the hike.

Bear Rocks for sunset - Fullmoon

Starting at Bake Oven Knob Parking Lot hike in to Knifes Edge for the Views and test your skills. Back to Bear Rocks to get a spot for viewing Sunset and Full Moon. Knifes Edge And Bear Rocks are challenging areas, do not take this lightly ! Bring Hiking Boots, 1 1/2 liters water, snacks, Head Lamps, Trash Bags, ( I picked up a bunch of trash there last week ) and a sense of adventure. Registration is required !! This is on Gamelands and the limit is 10 hikers . Hike will be canceled by thunderstorms or rain.

12 Miles Hike Around the Lake.

Walk from the parking lot to the blue trail, red trail, connector trail, part of the perkiomen trail. Pace: 3 mph.

Directions: take RT. 29 south from Emmaus (approximately 17 miles); turn right onto Green Lane Rd.; at the "Y" stay to you left. Parking lot is on the left of the tennis courts and amphitheater.

This is a combined hike with Chester County Trail Club. Bring water, snack and lunch.

Weed Whack and repair the Chestnut Oak trail

We will work on the chestnut Oak trail. Please bring gloves and water. Those planning on weed whacking should wear long pants and bring eye protection if you have it. We have protection gear for about 5 people. We will also be doing some trail remediation.

This is a 2 mile hike with some bushwacking on the AT trail. We will learn about the charcoal region and see it through the eyes of an archaeologist

The hike is designed to highlight the charcoal industry of the Blue mountains. It will be lead by one of the AHC leaders and Ben Carter, who is a archaeologist from Muhlenberg College. This is a B+ rated hike. Please bring 1-2 bottles of water, a lite snack and a good pair of hiking boots/shoes.
