Old Timers Long Walk Series, No.5A Bite and A Short Walk Before Monthly Meeting
We're back! For tonight's hike, we will meet at the Hamilton Family restaurant on (you guessed it!) Hamilton St at 5:05pm. We will grab a bite to eat. At 6:06pm, we leave for our walk to and through Union Terrace Park. Last time we got all the way to the Second Harvest Food Bank. I am pretty sure we won't get that far this time as that would be very long walk.

Loop Hike around Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary (6-7 miles)Let's explore the trails of Mariton Wildlife Sanctuary!
I'm allowing time in the morning for attendees to partake of the Easton Farmer's Market prior to the hike. Mariton is perched on the steep slopes of Bougher Hill overlooking the scenic Delaware River. A highlight of the preserve’s trail system is the River Lookout Trail, with a seasonal overlook of both the Delaware Canal and the Delaware River 300 feet below. As the trails are rocky and rooted, sturdy hiking boots are required, and trekking poles are suggested. We willl hike most of the trails throught the preserve and partake of several beautiful views.
