Climb Mt. Tammany, hike around Sunfish Pond and return on the Dunnfield Creek Trail.

This 12 mile hike starts on the Mt Tammany Trail, with a 1200 ft climb of Mt. Tammany. We will continue along the ridge for several miles and then turn onto a spur trail which will take us to Sunfish Pond. We will hike around Sunfish Pond and return via the Dunnfield Creek Trail. I recently returned from 12 days of hiking in Yellowstone and the Tetons. A nice fact of local hiking in this area is the nearby mountains can prepare you nicely for your next adventure. Expect members of other hiking clubs on this hike. Meet at 8:30 AM at the McDonalds parking lot in the 25th Street shopping center in Palmer Township, just west of Easton.

Circle hike from the Osprey House with possible side trip to Devil's Pulpit.

We'll climb up to the A.T. and to the top of the ridge, taking a side trip to Devil's Pulpit if hikers would like. From there we go down the Charcoal trail and along the railbed back to the Osprey house. This hike is full of interesting geology, history, and visionary restoration of damaged land. Loop hike of Lake Galena starting and ending at the Peace Valley Nature Center.

This is a 6.5 mile loop hike of the lake. Most of the trail is flat and paved. Lake Galena is home to many migrating waterfowl. Also, you may have a chance to see a pair of Bald Eagles. Call for meeting time and place. No dogs. Rain cancels.

Scenic hike of Green Lane along the Reservoir.

This is a shuttle hike starting on the red trail on the north side of the lake, and continuing onto the blue trail on the south side of the lake. The trails we take are often right by the lake giving us a very scenic hike. Bring lunch and water. Heavy rain cancels. Optional Pizza stop near Green Lane. Note: this is a joint hike with the Appalachian Mountain Club. Meet at Day's Inn Parking Lot at intersection of Routes 22 and 309 North.

Climb scenic Glen Onoko Falls and traverse a section of Broad Mountain.

After the initial climb we'll be on level terrain. Lunch will be at an overlook where we can take in the fall colors of the gorge, then it's time to find an obscure rock stairway to descend to our starting point. NO PETS! Meet at the Days Inn, Route 309 and 22. Call leader for further info.
