Knife Edge and Bear Rocks HikeRocky and tricky terrain, some climbing, and many breathtaking views at what should be the peak of foliage season
An out-and-back hike with many breathtaking views, but challenging due to the generally rocky footing and the narrow stretch of tilted quartzite rocks known as the Knife Edge, which we will traverse twice. Bear Rocks is a large irregular stack of quartzite boulders (some as large as tractor trailers) that requires some hands over feet climbing, but offers amazing 360 views from the top. This hike is not for those with balance issues or fear of heights. Sturdy hiking boots are a must. Bring at least two liters of water and food/snacks. No pets please.
