Our club will be 86 years young on 12/2. So join us for a day of hiking and a birthday party on 12/3 at the Blue Mountain Summit Restaurant. There are 4 hikes that day of varying lengths and difficulty. All of them will end at the restaurant. They are listed separately on our website and again on Meetup. This posting is for the party at the restaurant. You don't have to hike to attend the party, but since this is a hiking club, why wouldn't you hike? The owner, whose mother in-law is a past AHC board member, has worked with us to give us a deal for the meals. The dinner menu will be: Buffet of Chicken Marsala, Roast Beef, Pulled Pork Sliders, Mashed Potatoes, Vegetables and a Salad. There will also be a Vegetarian option offered to those who ask for one in their RSVP response. The price includes gratuity (but not alcoholic drinks). There will of course be cake and cupcakes for desert. SEATS ARE LIMITED FOR THE DINNER. YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER AND PAY FOR THE DINNER EVENT BEFORE 11/27/17. AHC Meetup Committee MeetingAt our club's November meeting, we decided to form a committee to look into ways to improve how we use Meetup.
The goal of this committee is to look into ways of raising awareness for our 86 year old club, & to maximize the full potential that this platform can bring to our club.
The meeting is open to any & all people. Part of this meeting will be set aside specifically for people to ask questions about using Meetup, and to discuss more efficient ways we can use this program.
We will be meeting weekly, and meeting will last no more than 2 hours max (hopefully shorter).
Just some of the topics we'll be addressing over the coming weeks are
- Featured Event Option
- Meetup Team Roles
- Posting on Meetup & Advanced Features
- Meetup Membership Retention
- New Email Addresses
- Profile Question Option
- Polls
- Google Analysis
- Pages on Meetup
- New Member Greeting
Notes will be taken at these events and will be posted as a picture so anyone can see what we discussed at the meeting.
