AT: Wind Gap to Fox Gap (Point to Point)8.3 miles point to point
A rocky challenging hike that starts at Wind Gap and ends at the trailhead just north of Bangor. The trail is steep at parts as it climbs up Blue Mountain so wear sturdy boots. This is a point-to-point hike so all hikers need to confirm attendance with hike leader so transportation can be coordinated. Weather cancels hike and hikers should bring snacks, lunch and lots of fluids.

Bethlehem Holiday HikeThe annual holiday hike around Bethlehem PA enjoying the sights and sounds of the season.
We will hike around the historic portion of downtown Bethlehem and also make a trip to the South side. The plan is to walk for two and a half hours at a leisurely pace. There is opportunity to only do part of the hike for those wanting a shorter hike. Rain cancels the hike. No need to check in ahead of time, just show up at the meeting place.

Allentown Lights in the Parkway (2.5 miles)A walk to enjoy Allentown's Lights in the Parkway
Mondays are FREE ... so let's give it a try!
The website indicates that parking is available on both Lehigh Parkway South and Grammes Road, which is behind the Queen City Airport. Let's meet in front of Ferguson Selection Center (1818 Grammes Road) and from there we can continue as a group through the Lehigh Parkway. I'll be wearing a string of lights so you can more easily find me.
I'm expecting it to be crowded with traffic so plan to arrive early so we can gather and leave on foot by 5:30. A flashlight or headlamp is suggested for the walk from our cars to the Holiday Lights.

New Year's Eve Hike to the Allentown Shelter (8 miles)End the year with a hike on the Appalachian Trail!
PLEASE WEAR BLAZE ORANGE AS WE WILL BE ON STATE GAME LANDS AND SHARING THAT SPACE WITH HUNTERS.
We will meet at Rt. 309 for a 4 mile hike to the Allentown Shelter. At the shelter we will eat lunch before returning to our cars. We will enjoy snacks and friendship at the shelter so feel free to bring a snack or goodies to share around the shelter's picnic table. After a suitable time for socializing, we will hike 4 miles back to our cars. Anyone who would like a shorter 2 mile hike to the Shelter may join us at Fort Franklin Road and that hike is listed separately in the schedule. Since we will be spending time at the shelter, bring an extra layer of clothing to stay warm. No dogs or alcoholic beverages. Steady rain or snow on the morning of the hike cancels this event.
