A seven mile hike at Jacobsburg State Park. If you still have some energy there will be an optional 10 mile bicycle ride on the Plainfield Township bike path after the hike.

Please feel free to attend only the hike even if you do not wish to do the bike ride. Join us for a 7 mile hike at Jacobsburg State Park. Only a hard rain will cancel the hike. Info and directions to the park: http://www.stateparks.com/jacobsburg.html After the hike, if the weather is decent, I will drive about three miles south to the Plainfield Township bike path for a 10 mile bike ride. The bike path is suitable for Hybrids and Mountain Bikes. Helmets are required for the bike ride. I found a nice blog entry about the bike path: http://blog.nj.com/nj_off-road_biking/2010/06/plainfield_township_trail.html For those who have not hiked at Jacobsburg State park before, there are no steep climbs on this hike, but there are rolling hills and there will be a slow steady incline the first mile of the hike. For those who have not biked the Plainfield Township bike path note it is relatively flat path in a quiet rural setting.
