AT Corridor Monitoring at PA 309
See what is involved in corridor boundary monitoring.
Walk the exterior corridor boundary west of PA 309. This is the boundary line for several parcels of land purchased by the National Park Service to protect the Appalachian Trail. The line is marked with paint blazes and boundary monuments at points along the boundary. The highlight of this section is the visit to the AHC bulldozer. We will check the status of the blazing and monuments, and perhaps put up some NPS signage. Anyone who would like a short hike and wants to see what is involved in boundary maintenance is welcome to join me.
