Canoe Ride, Picnic and Film about Mountain Top Removalenjoy a picnic lunch after a canoe trip and end our day by viewing the film entitled “Coal Country” which is about Mountain Top Removal. Following the movie there will be a discussion on the practice of Mountain Top Removal
Cost to attend all events: $ 10 dollars covers the cost of canoes, paddles, life vests, picnic lunch & beverage, and film.
Schedule plan:
Canoe trip: 9am-1:00 pm
Meet at 9am at the Hope Road Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission Public access located off the south side of Freemansburg Ave a quarter mile east of route 33. All necessary equipment provided but we recommend that participants bring plenty of water and binoculars.
Attending just the Lunch Cookout & Film: 2pm-4pm
Cost for attending just the Lunch and Film: Suggested donation of $5 dollars.
Meeting spot for lunch and film: Room 103 Hugel Hall at Lafayette College
Food and beverage provided
Film: Coal Country 4:30pm-6pm
Meet in room 103 Hugel Hall.
Canoes and equipment generously provided at cost by the Wildlands Conservancy.
