Hike a series of trails from the base of Big Pocono if parking permits; otherwise we’ll start at or near the summit.

We’ll also walk a level 1.4 mile loop around the 2,131 foot summit which offers terrific 360 degree views of the Valley, NJ and the Delaware Water Gap. Nice mix of terrain including a moderate to steep 1,200 foot ascent within 1.5 miles of the summit. Depending on where we start, we’ll either break for lunch or snacks at the summit where there are picnic tables and rest rooms. Dress appropriately as summit temperatures can be 10 degrees cooler than the Valley. Wear sturdy shoes, bring plenty of water, lunch, snacks and camera. No Pets. Rain cancels.
