Section 1 - Valley Forge National Park to Lower Pine Rd.

This is the first in a series of 12 hikes that will cover the entire 141 miles of the Horse-Shoe Trail, a public hiking and horseback trail in southeastern PA that extends from Valley Forge to the Appalachian Trail on the crest of Stony Mountain east of Harrisburg. The H-ST, established in 1935, contains a mix of footpaths and rural road walking. This section includes Mt. Misery in VFNP and scenic Chester County horse country.
