Allow 3 hours at a leisurely pace with occasional stops to view buildings, historical sites and landmarks. Bring water, camera and binoculars.

The IRT traverses the sites of the first anthracite fueled iron company and the first Portland cement company in America, both of which contributed to the Industrial Revolution. 23 historical sites and landmarks will be presented. The trail is a loop with an even surface of asphalt or packed millings and passes through several communities.
