Ironton Rail Trail Interpretive HikeLearn some local history by hiking the IRT
Accompany members of the Ironton Rail Trail Oversight Commission as they conduct an interpretive hike along this multi-use loop trail. We’ll learn how coal, iron and limestone helped start the industrial revolution in America right here in the Lehigh Valley. The hike is about 6 miles long, but the pace is easy. There’s no formal lunch stop, so bring a drink and some easy to eat snacks.
