Hike from Sand Island in Bethlehem to Lock 40 in Allentown and return.

This is a reschedule of last week's rained out hike. We will head west from Sand Island, pass under the Hill to Hill Bridge, see Lock 41, and end our trek at Lock 40, where we will turn around and head back east to our cars. Bring water and a snack. Heavy rain cancels.

Hike / bike / on-water distance: 6 miles
Meeting place: From center city Bethlehem, drive south on Main Street, crossing over the Lehigh Canal onto Sand Island. Turn left, pass the Ice House and playground on your left, and park in the lot under the bridge.
