A special hike on an unusual property, this hike takes us through the 400-acre property of the Mary Immaculate Center in Lehigh Twp., Northampton Cty.

Bob Hosking, a local naturalist who has frequently walked it, and Bud Cole, a local outdoor writer, will describe the natural and cultural attributes as we meander, especially taking in fall changes. The property's future also is important, as it is no longer used by the diocese of Philadelphia, its owner. Wear sturdy shoes; although this is not a strenuous hike, there is some climbing. Bring water and snacks. Rain cancels.
