Parks and Arts of Allentown Part XV
One hour easy walk along Cedar Brook to an old mill. We will look for familiar plants at the Master Gardeners Veg. Gardens and then head to Allentown Symphony Hall.
The 2:00PM Allentown Symphony's Free Young Musicians String Festival featuring cello soloist Bartholomew Shields,15,of Oley (winner of the Voorhees Concerto competition. At 3:00PM Mark O'Connor will take the stage with Kelly Hall-Thompkins to perform Americana to which our own Mercedes Jurkiewicz will be playing cello with the Allentown Symphony Orchestra. Tickets can be purchased there. Ask for the 10% hikers' discount or call Mercedes by Sat. 10AM the day before for half-price tickets. Keep your stub for food discount at Brew Works later.

Meeting place: Meet at Joseph Daddona Lake and Terrace. Take Rte. 222 to 21st St. 1st left onto Reading Rd., 1st right onto St. Elmo St., Immediately turn left into parking lot.
