Join us for a Saturday scenic 7 mile walk on the Delaware and Lehigh trail from Sand Island in Bethlehem to Freemansburg.

On this walk the D&L trail has views of the Lehigh River and the historical Bethlehem Steel site. There are a couple of canal locks along the way and also remnants of a wing dam. In Freemansburg, the walk reaches the Freemansburg Canal Education Center in the historic mule barn. This is the site of Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor hosts field trips about life as a canal locktender family. We’ll stop there, have lunch and return.
