Slate Heritage Trail Hike
Walk a rail trail in northern Lehigh County from Slatington to Slatedale and return.
This 3.3 mile long rail trail runs from Slatington to Slatedale, utilizing as much as possible the bed of the the former Lehigh Valley Railroad right-of-way. The route follows and crosses Trout Creek. The first mile of trail from Slatington is paved; the remaining sections are combinations of grass, packed earth, stone or crushed macadam.

Meeting place: Meet at the trailhead parking lot at Main and Railroad Streets in Slatington (just west of the Lehigh River)
