Special Environmental Excursion to West Virginia.Travel to Southern West Virginia to see the devestating effects of Mountain Top Removal. Meet a group of people in West Virginia trying to save an area scheduled for Mountain Top Removal.
4 day event to the area of West Virginia where the Coal River Wind -http://www.coalriverwind.org - organization is located. This trip will be to see first hand the harms of Mountain Top Removal.
We will drive down on Thursday, May 7th. Friday and Saturday we will hike nearby area’s where we can see Mountain Top removal and hopefully see where Coal River Mountain is being saved! We will visit Kayford Mountain as it provides a devastating close up view of an active mountain top removal site.
Group size is limited to 14. If you have a serious interest in this trip and can hike about 8 miles on Friday and another 8 miles on Saturday, please contact al-schwartz@fast.net
