This is a moderately challenging hike along various mountain bike trails in a section of old growth forest in the slopes above the Lehigh River in Fountain Hill. Optional visit to Janet Goloub's gravesite.

I am adding about 1.5 miles of steep, rocky terrain to the 6.5 mile hike we did last year, but it will be possible to sit this section out if you prefer. Janet Goloub's gravesite is only steps away from the start of the hike in Green Meadow burial ground. Please arrive 20 minutes early if you would like to visit and pay your respects. There are some wet areas and plenty of rocks, so please wear sturdy boots and bring at least 2 liters of water, lunch and snacks. Rain cancels.
